Around 5:00 AM, within Portland harbor, a container brimming with cars destined for Norway awaits loading onto a cargo ship. Suddenly, a band of armed individuals encircle the harbor, halting the container's movement. They coerce customs officers into emptying the container of its cars and loading their own luxury vehicles intended for India, at the behest of ministers. Succumbing to the threat, the officers comply.
As the vessel sets sail, the gunmen realise one car is absent. Scouring the harbor, they locate it parked outside. Upon alerting their comrades via walkie talkie, the car ignites its engine and lights. Concealed behind tinted windows, the occupant remains unseen as the gunman approaches. Before he can react, the car accelerates, knocking him down, and escapes the harbor. Despite a pursuit by the other gunmen in their vehicles, the car evades capture.
Meanwhile, in Chennai, amid preparations for parliamentary elections, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Kalikartha graces a college event, broadcasted live on local and national news channels. Following a discourse on literature and values that fails to captivate the students, he quips, "Dear students, I sense your boredom. The college management has wisely forbidden political or ideological speeches with elections looming. So have lunch. Throw out the leaves. Wash your hands and not your face. Go and sleep." The auditorium erupts in laughter, echoed by viewers at home.
A few days later, the fuel prices gets minimised by the central government. Kalikartha calls his partymen for a meeting to his office for ideating how to solve the sudden rise and falls of fuel prices. He says "The central party has reduced the fuel price before the elections just to pull votes. Shouldn't we think how the crude oil shortage never happens during elections alone?." He asks the petroleum minister Sukumar, "What you do during the price hikes?". Sukumar says "As ministers of a regional government, we cannot bypass the central government, chief. We should just let their stands get in. The maximum we can do is request them or organise a strike to reduce it but they seldom respond or won't care at all.". Kalikartha says "Then I've an idea. Let's join with various parties from all the states and create an alliance. If the majority is big, I'll be the PM candidate and bring a solution to this fuel price issue and lots of other issues.".
